Warm Days in my Favorite Place

Nothing beats a warm day in Chapel Hill and with the weather heating up, I forgot how much sweeter this place is in the sun. From my mood to everyone else around me, when the weather is warm everyone is just, happier. I watch people on walks, bike rides and driving with their windows down blasting music. Here are some of my favorite things to do in Chapel Hill when the weather is looking up:

1. Walk Bolin Creek Trail

This is one of my favorite trails to walk in Chapel Hill with my friends. There is a park along the way, and the sound of the creek is so soothing. If you walk far enough, you will end up at Sunrise Kitchen where you can grab a yummy biscuit to go.

2. Blue Cup at He’s Not

Nothing beats an $8 Blue Cup, or $5 if you’re there on a Tuesday! You can’t get anything better than a beer with friends on a sunny day at one of the most iconic bars in Chapel Hill.

3. Bike Ride Around Town

One thing that is so great about Chapel Hill is the fact that you can ride your bike just about anywhere, on trails, Franklin Street, campus and in surrounding neighborhoods. It is one of my things to do to ease stress and enjoy the outdoors.

4. Visit 401 Main

One of my favorite restaurants/bars in Chapel Hill is 401 Main. They have mouth-watering food options and delicious cocktails. Not to mention that their outdoor patio is so unique, and if you make it on the right day there’s live music.

5. Picnic at the Bell Tower

The greenest grass you’ll find in Chapel Hill is surrounding the quad and it’s awaiting you! Grab dinner to-go from Lucha, Al’s Burger Shack or IP3 and enjoy time with friends or family in the sun.
