A TV Show That Teaches Us Life Skills

The TV series Sex and the City was just recently released on HBOmax and it is now my house’s favorite TV show to put on when we eat lunch or hangout downstairs. As we were watching the show one day one of my roommates remarked, “This show just really gives life advice honestly.” Then we went on for the next couple of minutes talking about how this TV show has a bunch of underlying teachable messages beyond all the drama and relationships throughout the series.

Here are some lessons we’ve learned from watching this show:

1. Everyone makes mistakes in life, even if it looks like you have it all together from the outside.

2. Just because you’re X years old, doesn’t mean you have everything together.

3. Your friends will always be there for you.

4. You don’t always have to think the same as your friends.

5. Don’t be afraid to do what you want.
